Cookie Policy

Short version: we use cookies to keep you signed in, and for nothing else. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist because most sites set cookies for advertising and analytics, which require permission. We do not. Everything we store is strictly necessary to provide a function you asked for — signing in — and under UK and EU rules strictly necessary storage does not require consent.
If that ever changes, we will ask before setting anything new, rather than adding a banner that assumes yes.
What we set

What we do not set
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics — no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording.
- No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.
- No social media embeds that would set cookies on our behalf.
This means we know very little about how people use the site. That is a deliberate trade: we would rather measure less than build a profile of you.
Server logs
Separately from cookies, our hosting and CDN providers keep short-lived request logs that include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We do not join those to your account. See the Privacy Policy.
When you download an app we record the event with a salted hash of your IP rather than the address itself — enough to avoid counting the same download twice, not enough to identify you.
Controlling this
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the authentication cookie will prevent you from signing in, but browsing, searching and downloading apps all work without an account.
The Playbix Android app
The Android client does not use cookies. It stores your session token and your list of apps installed from Playbix locally on your device. Uninstalling it removes both.
